POI Locations

LEAP Bridge Steel Point of Interest Locations command provides the means to view all automatically generated points of interest along each member and add additional user defined (or custom) POIs. LEAP Bridge Steel will automatically generate analysis output at POIs. Currently only custom POIs can be deactivated from generating analysis output.

Automatically generated POIs are the following:

  • Supports
  • Cross frame/diaphragm locations - brace points.
  • Mid-brace point locations (locations mid-way between two brace points).
  • User defined POIs at equally spaced along each member.
  • Locations of cross section changes.

The figure below shows the symbols used to display the POIs in the graphic view.
